Blizzard has been selective with the details it has publicly shared regarding Overwatch 2, so it's unclear what will happen moving forward. Now, it seems plans may have changed, seeing as Blizzard has delayed the game out of its original expected time frame and possibly moved it to an entirely new year. The report noted that Blizzard prioritized the release of the game and locked-in all of its content so the team could begin polishing. It was recently reported that Overwatch 2 would launch in 2022, specifically sometime before the summer.
